Shop Capabilities

Materials

With eight presses ranging from 250 to 700 tons, and even more on the way, the facilities can accommodate a wide range of materials. Below is a list of materials and approximately what size range we can handle.
  • Brass: A few ounces up to 9 pounds.
  • Bronze: A few ounces up to 9 pounds.
  • Copper: A few ounces up to 3 pounds.
  • Aluminum: A few ounces up to 1.5 pounds.

We work with a large variety of alloys of each of these materials. We have recently expanded into more brass, low lead brass, no lead brass, bronze, and copper alloys such as C145, C182, C2745, C464, C675, C676, C6731, and C6930.
Tooling

The tooling needed to get a job done can either be supplied by the customer, or we will manufacture it in our tool and die shop that began operations in 2010. All Forge, Trim, Piercing, and Coining dies not supplied by the customer are made and maintained in our die shop, or by other local die shops we have partnered with over the years. We have a die racking system on-site for storage of dies between production runs.
Finishing

The parts we supply to the customer can be in a variety of different states. Anywhere from just off the forge press with the flash still attached, to a completely machined and finished part. We have developed working relationships with local machining companies who can handle any type of finish machining on forged parts. The shop has two tumble burnish machines and one tumble blast machine used for the standard surface finish on all orders. If a type of surface finish is required that we cannot do in house, then we can accomplish that finish through one of our partner companies.
Quality Assurance

We ensure that the quality of all our products meet the customers specifications. To accomplish this we have a Company Quality Manual which is followed throughout each production run. All parts are subjected to a final inspection for integrity and surface finish before shipment to the customer.
